Protectosil® AQUA-TRETE® 340 is a clear, breathable, penetrating, aqueous water repellent intended for use on concrete, brick, and masonry. This product reduces and prevents the ingress of water and waterborne contaminants by chemically bonding with silica within a substrate. This permanently bonds the water repellent to the surface, preventing water and waterborne contaminants from entering the surface.

Protectosil AQUA-TRETE 340

Protectosil AQUA-TRETE 340 is a ready-to-use, water-based silane water repellent formulated with 40% solids for high-performance concrete and masonry protection. Designed for the North American market, this low-VOC solution penetrates deeply into the substrate to create a durable hydrophobic barrier, resisting the effects of chloride ingress, acid rain, UV light, alkali attack, and freeze–thaw damage. Its breathable nature ensures that moisture vapor transmission is maintained, preventing trapped moisture issues and helping preserve the integrity and appearance of treated surfaces.

Common Applications

Before application, ensure that concrete surfaces meet the preparation requirements:

  • Concrete cured to at least 80% of compressive strength or below 8% moisture content
  • Removal of dirt, dust, efflorescence, mold, oil, asphalt, paint, coatings, salt, grease, laitance, and curing compounds
  • Cleaning via power-washing, sandblasting, or chemical detergents as required

Packaging & Storage

Available in pails, drums, and totes. Shipped F.O.B. throughout the United States and Canada. Store between +3°C and +40°C in sealed containers away from freezing conditions.
