Protectosil CHEM-TRETE PB VOC is a clear, penetrating, breathable water repellent specifically formulated for use on concrete, brick, masonry units, and select natural stones. Ideal for porous substrates such as split-face block, this advanced silane treatment provides long-term protection against wind-driven rain, water intrusion, and waterborne contaminants that can cause deterioration. By bonding chemically to silica within the substrate, this product creates a durable hydrophobic barrier that resists efflorescence, leaching, alkali attack, dirt buildup, scaling, corrosion of reinforcing steel, and mildew formation. Treated surfaces remain fully breathable, ensuring moisture vapor transmission is not hindered, which helps prevent issues like sealer blushing and freeze-thaw damage.
